Best of Friends
The Bluebottle and Eccles string puppets look unusually photogenic in this shot. But what is Eccles going to do with that hammer?

Elegantly coiffured, and dressed in his Sunday-best sack cloth, Eccles' toes poke through the end of his under-sized shoes! Close inspection shows that Bluebottle has an elegant collar, but no shirt!

(4) High jinks at The Telegoons voice recording sessions, 29th March 1963...

Peter's arrival at The Telegoons voice recording sessions on 29th March, 1963, was not allowed
to go unnoticed, because it marked the first time the Goons had worked together since the radio
Goon Show days. The occasion was marked by the presence of the press, who took these pictures.
Some of the puppets were also in attendance.

Although it is not recorded what Peter, Harry, and Spike were
thinking when these two pictures were taken, it is fun to speculate.

Peter: Hmm...I'm not sure about these "Spot the Welshman" contests.

Harry:
Ned of Wales would be proud of me.
You can always tell a Welshman by his leek.

Spike:
Hmm... Sospan Bach (sic). Abergabunny (sic). Look you non (sic).*
Leeks. Cardiff Docks. Swansea Docks. It's no good, folks, I can't keep
up this accent any longer. I'm not a Welshman at all, I'm the famous
            Eccles.
